Supervising First Aid For Mental Health (RQF) 

This 2-Day course goes into detail on a wide range of Mental Health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the level 1 and level 2 qualifications but is aimed at trainer/Assessors and/or supervisor level within the workplace. 

What is the duration of the course? A minimum of 12 hours spread over at least two days. Ideally, the course should be run over two consecutive days,

What is the Syllabus of the course? A range of subjects are covered including: - 1. What is First Aid for Mental Health? 2. Post-traumatic stress disorder 3. Identifying mental health conditions 4. Self-harm 5. Providing advice and starting a conversation. 6. Suicide 7. Stress 8. Eating disorder 9. Mental health conditions 10. Personality disorders 11. Drugs and alcohol 12. Bipolar disorder 13. First Aid for Mental Health action plan 14. Psychosis 15. First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace 16. Schizophrenia 17. Depression 18. Anxiety

What is the requirement of the course? A range of methods are used, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).

What qualification will I receive? A level 3 award in Supervising First Aid for mental health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.
